Woohoo!!!! I am verrrrrrry excited to introduce the newest Funky Friends Factory toy sewing pattern…
Shelby the NO SOCK Sock Monkey!
Sheby LOOKS like a traditional sock monkey BUT my sewing pattern is designed to be made from fabric.
WHY?
Well, for 2 reasons… First of all, I have NEVER SEEN the traditional Original Rockford Red Heel socks (in all my years of shopping?) and secondly, I HAVE SEEN lots of super cute sock monkey fabrics!
Sometimes my sewing pattern designs are my inspiration for the fabric I use to make my soft toys, and sometimes it’s the other way around – the fabric I have bought is the inspiration for the pattern design! How could you NOT be inspired by the gorgeous sock monkey fabrics????? 😀
Now you can make a sock monkey…
EVEN IF you can’t find
a cute pair of socks!
I had so much fun making my sock monkey…..
I had to make some more!!!
and
some more!!!
This is a really easy pattern for beginners and children to sew. You only need a small fabric scrap of the contrast fabric and the pattern looks awesome made up in spots, stripes, plain solids and prints – so and I’m sure you’ll have as much fun as I did choosing fabrics!
What fabric do you think would be good for a Sock Monkey?
. .
Till next time…
Happy Sewing,
Pauline
