I have been having SUCH FUN making some baby toys from organic interlock fabric!
When I received the fabric from Organic Cotton Plus, and I really wasn’t sure how my Funky Friends would turn out as I haven’t used cotton interlock before! I used a ball-point needle and an all-purpose polyester machine thread (as it is a jersey/knit type fabric) and I found that the cotton interlock was actually
really easy to sew with!!!
I am so excited by how cute my toys turned out! This is my Dilby Duck toy sewing pattern made up in Banana yellow and Butterscotch eco-dyed organic cotton Interlock.
And this my Plattie Platypus toy sewing pattern made up in Baby Blue and Banana.
I just LOVE their fabric names!
And look how cute Petunia Pig looks in Pink and Plum!
All you’ll need is some organic stuffing (Organic Cotton Plus has that too! ) and some 100% wool felt flowers, and you’ll have a 100% organic baby toy!
AND NOW for the EXCITING NEWS:
This week I am teaming up with Organic Cotton Plus…

So hard to pick one. But I’ll go with Plattie Platypus.
Dilby Duck is super cute and would be great for a boy or a girl.

Dilby Duck gets my vote ~ he’d be perfect as an Easter gift!
I like the pig, as it reminds me of my little brother (who is in his late 40s) and he was affectionately known as the “little pig” when we were growing up. What a great 50th present this would make:)
My favourite Organics colour is the third from the left (pink)
G
I love Dilby Duckie!!
I think Petunia is gorgeous, but Dilby Duck would be the popular choice in our home!
Loving the pig, so cute!! X
Love Dilby duck! Would love to make one to raise funds at our local hospice – they have a duck pond in the garden!

I have fallen in love with Dibly Duck, and I love the colours you chose to make him in. I was only looking at Dibly online today and thinking how much I would like to make him for 3 of my young friends who have young children and one young lady is due to have a little boy this month… I think they would love them :)thank you
Oh dear, all 3 are just adorable! I think my son would love Dilby because of the seam down his belly. My son is a CHD survivor and loves to show off his open heart surgery scar. Dilby’s seam will make him super happy!
I THINK PETUNIA IS PERFECT AND I DONT HAVE HER PATTERN SO IF I WIN SHE CAN JOIN MY FARM THANKS FOR THE OPERTUNITY
I think the dilly duck is the cutest and light blue fabric is really nice
I would love to make dilby duck as it reminds me of my good friends from Germany. Their daughter had a similer duck named anton, and never put it down.
Dilby duck stole my heart the first time I saw her. As I scroll through all of the funky friend characters, I always end up back to Dilby. Way too cute for her own good I think xx
I love all the patterns they are all so cute, but if I had to choose one it would be Petunia pig as i don’t have the pattern. The colors you have used are just amazing and I would love to have a go at making any of them in the new organic interlock fabric, they look so soft and cuddly. The colors are great and you could do so many different combinations of colors to make many different Funky Freinds.

I’m quackers about Dilby.
Who can resist Plattie the Platypus. So cute
How to choose; Dilby Duck, Plattie Platypus, and Petunia Pig, I love them all they’re all so cute!! But Petunia Pig wins by a shapely snout, her curly tail, and her well directed listening ears!! Many thanks Pauline for your well designed patterns with cute expressions!
What a really hard decision to make. Love all of them. Maybe Petunia Pig.
How can I choose just one??? I know! I would love two Petunia Pigs for my great grand daughters (Hope and Kiara). Then, with such a gorgeous range of colours I could have Petunia Pigs in every colour. 🙂
Thank you.
Definitely Dilby Duck..
My favourite of the three is Dilby Duck – would like to try sewing a sitting up friend.
Dilby Duck without a doubt is the cutest! Who can resist a cuddle with such a gorgeous specimen of the bird world. Coupled with a marigold yellow and Dilby will outshine any other stuffed competitor.
Dilby Duck is undeniably the cutest of all!
Definitely Dilby duck
I adore dilby, he is so unbelievably adorable!
I think that Petunia Piglet is so cute. The rich plum colour is my favourite but all of the characters are gorgeous and each colour is a beautiful compliment to each other. Good luck to everyone that enters!
Dilby duck definitely!! What a cutie 🙂
The Duck–the duck is the absolute cutest–not sure why–maybe his eyes or the slight tilt to his beak but–he’s got it:)
Dilby Duck done up Darling!
I love the rich plum color of the organic interlock!
For me, Petunia wins hands down !
Dilby is the cutest, he wuld be grwat in plum interlock, as well as those great cottons you get at springwood ecf
Oh it’s so hard to pick, but I’ll have to pick Petunia Pig. How can you not love the plum and pink pig. She is so pretty in plum!
I have to say it is hard to choose…but Dilby the Duck is my choice… I am a sucker for ducklings… THey are all wonderful though both in the pattern and the colors choosen. Just so much detail and just so darn cute.
Claudette
I think petunia pig is just the cutest!
I love Dilby Duckling!! He must be a cousin of the ever adorable and loved Rubber Duckie
I love Plattie Platypus. Of course, all of your patterns are so cute – the quality of your designs is top notch. When I look at your patterns, I want to make them all. I had never make any softies, plushies, etc., before, just started recently. I found a free pattern on Pinterest and make a little patchwork looking bear for a friend who has a small child. I went to visit her the other day at her workplace, taking the bear. She almost cried. She was very down in the dumps, because they had just lost one of their dog (went to doggy heaven) and she said that this was just the boost she needed. She called the next day, said that her little guy loved him, carried him everywhere that evening, & went to bed with the bear in his arms. Wow, what a wonderful feeling I had, filled my heart with joy. Now I want to make & give away more. Spread the joy!
Dilbey Duck turned out so perfect!
So very difficult to make a choice, but I think mine must be for the lovely Petunia. Pigs have such intelligence and character that it’s impossible not to love them immediately and I’m sure that Petunia would be no exception.
Dilby Duckling is very cute. I would enjoy making this 🙂
I like petunia pig the most, so does my 4 year old 🙂
I’m loving Petunia!! Thanks for the chance.
Oh, my, how to choose just one? It’s a toss up, really, but I think I’ll go with Petunia Pig. She’s just exquisite with her enormous ears and turned up nosie!
Between the three of them I think I’d go with Dilby the Duck! He looks more cuddly and makes me smile! I am torn between Dilby and Petunia because I know someone who would like both of them, but Dilby would go around more, I think! All your patterns are awesome! Out of the material, I like the yellow and pale blue the most! Blue is my color!
I love Dilby Duck! I’m a bit partial of it because my SIL is a duck hunter and they just had a baby boy 8 days ago! My lil grandson and granddaughter would be so cute finding them in this Easter baskets!
I really like all the fabric. I think they compliment each other so it is hard to pick just one.I would pick the blue because it is hard to find a true blue. The pattern I like is the duck . I know the blue would not go with the duck.
I think that petunia piglet is really cute and is my favourite!!!
My favorite is plattie platypus. Its adorable!!
Although they are ALL super cute, Petunia Piglet wins my vote. How can I resist my favorite colors?
I apologize to Dilby & Plattie..but I just think that Petunia the piglet is soooo adorable.
I love all three of them but the most awesome color is petunia piglet. I would love to make all three for my grandkids.

Dilby Duck is the cutest! Love her. Well done.
Hi! I’d love any of them, but my favorite is Petunia Pig! She’s gorgeous!
Dilby Duck won my heart at first glance! The perplexed look on her face remains me of the way my granddaughter looks at me on Facetime! We have not met yet and she is 9 months old! I cannot help but smile whenever I look at Dilby’s face. I will have to make us one each! Gorgeous, cute, dainty, delightful, quirky, I could go on…..
Ps, resting on your mouse whilst writing this!!!
I think Petunia Pig is my favourite…………..or maybe Dilby…….but then again Plattie is sweet too.
I LOVE Dilby Duck! But, my favorite colors are the pink and plum!
Petunia Pig is so cute! Love it!! X
All 3 of them are very cute and I must say what an amazing talent you have 🙂 I must say though, my most favourite is Dilby Duck – he is gorgeous 🙂
The cutest is Dilby Duck. I would love to make it for my Daughter because her favourite song is ‘Five Little Ducks” – I could make five (plus a mumma Duck) in different colours for her to play with while I sing the song!
Dilby Duck is my favourite!
I have to say Dilby is one of my favourites and I’ve just made her for. Friend in a green polka dot and pink mix, but I’d have to pick Plattie !! An animal I’ve only ever seen on tv but he is very cute and worldly to me lol xx

Def Dilby Duck for me. And it looks particularly cuddly in the interlock fabric.
Petunia pig looks so cute in those colours!!
The dilby duck is best I think, it’s so cute, aw aw aw ^_^
Choosing is simple it would have to be the gorgeous and absolutely cute Dilby Duck, he would make a great addition to my new babys’ nursery (due in May-June).
I love Plattie Platypus. Gorgeous & for what I do the perfect little lap companion 🙂
I love the platypus!
I love all three of these animals so much! They are just so cute. My favourite would definitely be Dilby duck. I have had an obsession with plush ducks since I was two years old. as much as I LOVE petunia and plattie, my favorite is dilby.
I love them all!! Hmm, maybe Petunia has the teensy edge in my heart :). Thank you, Pauline!!
Karen
My favorite is Dilby Duck and my favorite colors are orange and yellow.

My vote is for Petunia Pig & the pink/purple combination is fantastic!
They are all adorable, its a very close call but I think Dilby Duck is the cutest.
Dilby duck is my favourite – I am expecting a baby early July and this will be perfect and cuddly in the interlock fabric for baby’s nursery!
They are all so cute but i would love Petunia Pig to make for my mum who’s a huge fan of pigs and as i have never made her something before this would be awsome
Would go Quackers to win the cutest Dilby Duck 🙂 x
I’m torn between Dilby and Petunia, although I love how Petunia look in Plum/Pink. Maybe Dilby will look great in purple; he will be a fashion forward duck! 🙂
I really like the simplicity. They are all great, as usual!
Dilby duck is hands down my favorite one. Dilby would be perfect to go with honey bear that I made for my first grandbaby that’s due in late June.

I am partial to Petunia. She looks so soft and cuddly. I would love to try the new fabric. Thanks, Karan
Dilby duck is way the cutest as he sits up and looks at you and I love the little flower! xx
It is sooo hard to choose but I really think Dilby Duck is so cute and I’d love to be able to make some for my boys.
I love Dilby but they are all special. I derive great pleasure from the giving of a handmade gift.
Dilby duck is gorgeous… He’s got to brighten up anyone’s day with those colours!
My overwhelming favourite would have to be Dilby Duck! I would love to see him in a pink and banana or baby blue and banana. He would make a fantastic gift for a new baby!
Obviously Dilby Duck!! Just in time to start sewing for Easter, now if I only had a grandchild to give it to!
I have to pick Petunia! I love the name and she is made up of my favorite color. She just looks so cuddly and ready to snuggle up with on those days when no one else is around to hug.
I have two little girls so my favourite would have to be Petunia Pig. How sweet!
I love Dilby Duck! He’s super cute especially with that little flower you have put on him. I would love to make him as a present for my new baby cousin 🙂
Dilby Duck is soooo cute 🙂 I love its cute beak 🙂
I have to choose Dilby Duck ‘cos he is even cuter than my REAL ducklings, also I am sure he eats less than they do. Banana Yellow would be just right
Petuna Pig is so adorable that was my favorite.. and I really liked the plum fabric
They are all cute, but I think Petunia pig is the winner for me 🙂
I really love them all, but I am a sucker for Plattie the platypus, i have always liked things that are different. 😀
It is very hard to select between Dilby Duck and Petunia Pig…although Petunia Pig wins this contest. All three creatures were equally lovely and tempting.
They all make me want to get back into toy making. I love the pig the best though.

The pale lemon interlock is wonderful .
