I have always been inspired by my parents. My FATHER was a mathematics lecturer, then a primary school headmaster and has written FUN maths books for children with my mum’s cute illustrations. My ‘artsy-crafty’ MOTHER has inspired me from a very young age with her many crafty endeavours and her support of anything crafty I put my hand too… and now it’s her turn to shine!!!
My mum who is turning 70 next year, is STILL such an incredible inspiration! She has just had her BOOK published on STAR-gazing with Binoculars for Beginners! AND she has even got her book up online… eventhough she STILL ONLY has Dial Up Internet Connection!
I am sooooo impressed!
I saw the book in progress when I went to visit mum and Dad in South Africa a couple of years back, and I was embarrassed because I knew verrrrry little about the stars before that! I learnt that the stars ACTUALLY rise and set in the night sky, like the sun does in the day sky!
DON’T LAUGH at ME if YOU knew that!
(I guess I just hadn’t thought about it! NOW I’m fascinated by the incredible things I can see in the sky at night! – THANKS Mum!)
… and not to forget
special thanks HAS to go to Dad too, as “Chief Editor”
… and OFFICIAL sustenance supplier!
.. Love that apron Dad!!!! 🙂
I am so proud of my folks and I just wish they were closer as they are such fun to hang out with! As a teenager you’d never be caught DEAD saying this, BUT how wonderful to have such COOL parents!
Hope you don’t mind – I just had to share!!!

Till next time,
