OK, here goes ~ Week five:
How I organize my sewing threads:
Reading the other blog posts in the Creative spaces blog line-up, I was blown away by the number of spools of threads some of the other designers have!!! I have to say I am quite jealous of all the lovely shades of thread BUT I consoled myself with the fact that they couldn’t possibly have as many craft eyes as I do! LOL !! 😀
I have so few sewing machine threads – I keep the colours I use the most on the ‘spikes’ of my sewing cabinet.
I don’t know? Is that the right word for
‘the things the spools of cotton slip onto’?
AND my extra threads go into one of my ice-cream containers! NOT very flash, I know, by it’s airtight and keeps them clear of dusts and cob-webs! 😀
How I organise my buttons:
I found this cute craft box at a thrift shop and it’s perfect for storing special buttons… and it’s PURPLE too – perfect!!!
How I organise my embellishments:
A sewing room isn’t complete without a biscuit tin or chocolate tin filled with sewing stuff, right? My ‘sewing-tin’ is filled with toy-making supplies like squeekers, bells, toy rattles, baby-chew-ring-things and other such stuff to add to my soft toys!
How I organise my embellishments:
I like to use wool felt, embroidery threads and ribbons to embellish my soft toys. I have a stationery cabinet/drawers that has been brilliant for keeping my embellishment stash in some degree of order..
It’s PURPLE too!
That’s all for today!
I hope that has given you some ideas for how to keep your sewing threads, buttons and embellishments tidy?
And now for …

I use fishing tackle boxes to store my beads, buttons and sewing supplies. Lots of small compartments and levels to store small things up top and then larger sewing items like scissors and other sewing tools down below!
Awesome – so glad you enjoyed making Melody!!!!!! 😀

I use my child pencil box for storing buttons and other stuff.
I organize them depending on the color. This way, I won’t have to go though all the hassle of looking for without any clue in emergency situations. Also I organize them on top of each other with a glass plate between them.
