After weeks of cutting, packing and printing the time came to travel down to the Sydney Stitches & Craft Show. This time I took my darling husband along for the ride.
He had no idea what was in store for him… poor guy, but he survived to tell the tale ( well, maybe not to all his blokey work colleagues – ha!ha!)
The Show was enormous – four fabulous layers of crafting heaven!
Once again I was really proud to be part of the incubator section (for ’emerging independent designers’) and to see some familiar faces from the Brisbane show and meet some more talented crafters.
My talented neighbours were, Sandy from linocraft, Alison from berlinski.com.au and the crazy lady with a furry tail – Sheryl from twospoonfulsofsugar.com.
I want to say a huge THANK YOU to all the FFF fans who made it in to say hello, Yana, Kathy, Michelle amongst them. It was so lovely to meet you in ‘real life’
This time round I offered to do a Craft Tutorial (Craft Lab) … little did I know that I was put down to do not just one, but one one EVERY DAY!!! Uh Oh…. that meant preparing 50 kits not 10! Yikes, no wonder I was under the pump before we left… Anyway, it was such fun making all those Mousepad mice!
Thanks to all the lovely ladies who joined in the Craft Tutorials, hope you had fun and have very comfortable wrists when you are working on your computers!
A big THANK YOU to the organisers of the Stitches and Craft Show, I can’t wait for the next Brisbane show next year in May 2010…
.
See you there?
Pauline
