I use a bit of sewing machine thread to work out how long to make the scarf. I have found that a good length is TWICE around the neck. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #4a7d0c;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2245 size-full\" style=\"border: 1px solid #A8A5A9; padding: 4px;\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/measure-scarf-length.jpg\" \/><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">So wrap the thread around the neck 2 times, cut and measure the piece of string. Make it about 5cm\/2inches wide. (You CAN make it wider if your toy is very big and smaller for a small toy &#8211; just think about what a scarf looks like and just keep it in proportion!)<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #4a7d0c;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2238 size-full\" style=\"border: 1px solid #A8A5A9; padding: 4px;\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/cut-out-fleece-scarf-most-s.jpg\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>*** Cutting TIP***<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Fleece stretches much more in one direction than the other. MAKE sure you cut the fleece with the stretch going &#8220;across&#8221; the scarf and not along the length otherwise it will S-T-R-E-T-C-H out of shape! Then I cut in the middle of the two tassels to make 4 tassels, <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #4a7d0c;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2242\" style=\"border: 1px solid #A8A5A9; padding: 4px;\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/fleece-tassles-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"312\" height=\"234\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">then I cut those 4 tassels in half so I end up with 8 even sized tassels!
