Leave about 2\u00bdcm (1inch) unstuffed at the top, and pin the open edge closed. Turn the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>BACK PIECES<\/strong><\/span> right sides up and pin the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>BACK HAIR PIECE<\/strong><\/span> to them, matching point A. It is very easy to pull the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>ARMS<\/strong><\/span> and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>LEGS<\/strong><\/span> out but take your time with the head!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-23662\" style=\"border: 1px solid #a8a5a9; padding: 4px;\" src=\"https:\/\/manage.funkyfriendsfactory.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Angel-with-larger-body-023.jpg\" alt=\"Angel-with-larger-body-023\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/p>\n<blockquote style=\"padding: 10px 10px; margin: 30px 0px; border: 3px solid #97ba5f; color: #000000;\"><p><strong>TIP:<\/strong> Pull the head right sides out very gently and use a wooden chopstick (or the end of a paint brush or knitting needle) to smooth out the seam where the felt hair is. Run the end of the chopstick back and forth along the seam on the inside of the head until it is smooth!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">STEP 13b<br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>Stuff the head quite firmly, but press it with the palm of your hand, so it is still a flat shape. Stuff the neck area very well so the head will stay up nicely, then finish stuffing the body with toy stuffing. Sew the stuffing gap on the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>BACK PIECES<\/strong><\/span> closed with a ladder stitch.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-23627\" style=\"border: 1px solid #a8a5a9; Tuck the seam allowance under (in) and hand sew the turning gap closed with a ladder stitch.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-23641\" style=\"border: 1px solid #a8a5a9; padding: 4px;\" src=\"https:\/\/manage.funkyfriendsfactory.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Pin-wings.jpg\" alt=\"Pin-wings\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">STEP 26b<br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>Mark where to sew the topstitch lines on the <strong>WINGS<\/strong> with a fabric pen, or tailor&#8217;s chalk, using the pattern markings to guide you. Sew the topstitch lines with a slightly longer than normal stich as you are sewing through a lot of layers!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-23642\" style=\"border: 1px solid #a8a5a9; padding: 4px;\" src=\"https:\/\/manage.funkyfriendsfactory.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Angel-z-last-017.jpg\" alt=\"Angel-z-last-017\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote style=\"padding: 10px 10px; margin: 30px 0px 10px; border: solid 2px #b41e8e; color: #000000; text-align: left;\">\n<h1 style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">STEP 27<br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>Find the centre of the wing ribbon and mark this point. Mark a point 25mm (1inch) on either side of the centre and pin the ribbon on the wings covering the topstitching line as show in the pattern markings. Sew the ribbon to the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>WINGS<\/strong><\/span> but do not sew past the markings or this will be wider than the Angel&#8217;s neck. Tie the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>WINGS<\/strong><\/span> on your angel&#8217;s back. Use a simple bow so they can be taken on and off.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-23643\" style=\"border: 1px solid #a8a5a9; padding: 4px;\" src=\"https:\/\/manage.funkyfriendsfactory.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Angel-z-last-019.jpg\" alt=\"Angel-z-last-019\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000000;\">HALO &#8211; can&#8217;t forget this!<\/span><\/h2>\n<blockquote style=\"padding: 10px 10px; margin: 30px 0px; border: solid 2px #b41e8e; color: #000000; text-align: left;\">\n<h1 style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">STEP 28a<br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>Cut a 20cm (8 inch) piece of gold (or silver) cord. Cord unravels very easily so wrap some clear tape around the cord BEFORE you cut! Bend it round to form a circle and sew the ends together, sewing through the tape.\u00a0 position the halo on the angel&#8217;s head.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-23644\" style=\"border: 1px solid #a8a5a9; padding: 4px;\" src=\"https:\/\/manage.funkyfriendsfactory.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Angel-z-last-025a.jpg\" alt=\"Angel-z-last-025a\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">STEP 28b<br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>Sew the halo in place sewing back and forth, through the tape, cord, felt and fabric of the doll&#8217;s head, until it is quite securely attached.
