Well, I finally plucked up the courage, packed up all my patterns and toys and headed off to my first EVER market at the Brisbane Southbank Kids Mums & Bubs Market.<\/span><\/p>\n

I was absolutely thrilled to meet one of my Funky Friends Factory members in the flesh – thanks for all the nice things you said, (Claire!)

I was really proud of the ‘Sew Your Own Soft Toys’ banner that I appliqued for the market…<\/p>\n

Well……. to be honest, I have no idea of how applique SHOULD really be done! I just used fabric glue, then sewed the letters on with a machine button-hole stitch. Some applique experts may be horrified, but I had so little time to get it done and if you don’t look too closely it looks quite good!!!

I had a fun day and even managed to sell a few patterns and if my poor hubby hadn’t got a $50 parking ticket when he dropped me off, we’d all be smiling!!!!!!<\/p>\n

I hope to attend this ‘Crafty’ market again and will give the local Funky Friends Factory members some prior notice so that they can come and see the Funky Friends toys, and see what they are like ‘in person’!<\/strong>
