Now THIS<\/strong> is the kind of gardening that works for me – <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

totally ‘hands free’! <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I went away for 3 weeks and came back home to<\/span> a beautiful <\/span><\/strong>orchid surprise…<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

These lovely cymbidiums<\/strong> are my favourite orchids<\/strong>. They flower around the time of my birthday so I see them in the stores each year ’round about August and if I remember to beg hubby… he will get me one for my birthday!<\/span><\/p>\n

Orchids can be quite ‘fussy’<\/strong> and I have to say, I really do not have the patience to love and feed them as I know I should, so most of the plants return this lack of attention by refusing to flower ever again!<\/span><\/p>\n

So you can imagine my total surprise this year when I returned from our trip to Sydney for the Stitches and Craft show<\/strong><\/a><\/span>, to find that one of my birthday orchids had totally forgotten to hold a grudge and had burst into flower! Wow, now I remember why I am in total awe of these exquisite plants!<\/span><\/p>\n

I wonder if you can recommend some more gorgeous flowers that LOVE total neglect?<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n
