It has TOTALLY snuck up on me and I almost cannot believe that the Funky Friends Factory is 10 years old this year.<\/strong>.. I am having one of those ‘pinch me moments’<\/strong> as I write this post as it feels like just the other day that I made my first soft toy patterns<\/strong> and came up with the idea of my Funky Friends Factory<\/strong>…<\/p>\n

I thought it would be fun to have a quick wander down memory lane with a few photos of the early days…<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Who’d have thought all those years ago\u00a0what had begun with just a simple Baby-safe Bunny pattern?<\/strong><\/a> If you take a closer look at this <\/strong>photo of some of the first Funky Friends… that duck with the funny-looking bill.<\/strong>… BECAME Dilby Ducking<\/strong><\/a>! : )<\/p>\n

I’ve scanned in a scrap of paper I found of a early logo idea<\/strong> I had back then…
\nThe NAME has stuck, but the logo is totally changed. I KNOW that PRINCE Charming Froggy<\/strong> (who is my trademarked logo NOW<\/a><\/strong>) would have NOTHING to do with THIS logo – for sure!!!<\/strong><\/p>\n

EVEN Party Animal <\/strong>has come a long way from my very first attempt… Although he looks very cute in pinks and purples, I think Party Animal looks WAY MORE WILD<\/strong> with his wacky geen hair<\/strong><\/a>!!!<\/p>\n

And finally – here’s a pic of ME in the early days<\/strong>, when I could keep ALL my pattern stocks in a single plastic storage container<\/strong>!!! You can see what determination I had – look how many photos I’d printed!!!! : )<\/p>\n
