I’ve been a bit quiet of late because I have had something very sad happen<\/strong>. My dear dad passed away recently<\/strong> and it has been a huge shock. Even though he was getting old and frail… you always think your parents will be there forever!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

I am all cried out now!<\/strong> He has left a big gap<\/strong> in all of our lives BUT right now we are sharing and celebrating the funny, crazy, happy, poignant, silly, fun,\u00a0 and occasionally sad memories we have of him…<\/p>\n

<\/h1>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

I realise now more than ever before that I am so lucky to have had SUCH a special Dad!<\/strong><\/p>\n

I feel so blessed<\/strong> to have\u00a0 such wonderful memories of him<\/strong>, and his AWESOME sense of humour<\/strong>! Oh AND he made the best ever scones and chocolate sauce!!!<\/p>\n

He always loved to tease<\/strong>… Here he is behaving like a naughty kid in the back seat<\/p>\n

– “NO! We’re NOT there YET, Dad!!!!!! \ud83d\ude42<\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

It is a joy<\/strong> to know he lived a happy and fulfilled life<\/strong>, (AND that he didn’t suffer.)<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Mom and Dad LOVED their visit with us here in Australia!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

and so did we!!!!<\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

I love the way<\/strong> Dad got such enjoyment from nature<\/strong>, how he could imitate bird calls and make animal sounds – he opened my eyes to so many things\u2026 Dad got me interested in gardening and animals… and chooks!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

I am so comforted<\/strong> to know that he loved me so much and was so proud of me<\/strong>. Here he is folding some of my very first Funky Friends Factory patterns. He believed in me right from the start – Thanks DAD!!!!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

I feel so proud<\/strong> that he was loved and admired by so many people….<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

(well that goes for mom too!!!)<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

I am thankful for<\/strong>, and extremely proud of EVERYTHING he was!<\/strong><\/p>\n
