I am always excited to see my<\/span> toy patterns<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/a> made up by other people because I get to see their fabric choices, colour preferences, imagination and personality poured into the pattern. I still find it fascinating that 2 people using the same toy pattern can create 2 toys that look completely different! Of course you can see they have both used the same Funky Friends Factory toy pattern but their finished toys are totally unique!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Does toy eye SIZE make a difference?<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

You might think the size of a toy’s eyes<\/strong> won’t make much difference, but it’s quite incredible that something as small as the size of the craft eyes…<\/span><\/p>\n

has a very
\nBIG impact!<\/span><\/p>\n

In the photos below you can see how the SAME toy pattern looks quite DIFFERENT when you use a different size toy eyes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Take a look at the dinosaur eyes…<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

When I first designed my Timy T-Rex Dinosaur toy pattern<\/a><\/span><\/strong> I used 6mm beads<\/strong> for eyes my stuffed dinosaur.<\/span><\/p>\n

Then I decided they were a bit small so I remade my toy prototype with 12mm (\u00bd inch) cats eyes<\/strong>. I thought Timmy T-Rex looked pretty cool until….<\/span><\/p>\n

…I saw the tattoo fabric T-Rex that Kylie from www.v<\/span>oodoorabbit.com.au<\/span><\/strong><\/a> <\/strong>made with EXTRA LARGE\u00a0 18mm black craft eyes<\/strong>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

And puppy dog eyes…<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

When I made Puppy Dog Pete toy pattern<\/strong><\/a><\/span> I used size 12 mm black craft eyes<\/strong>. I thought he looked pretty cute until…<\/span><\/p>\n

I saw the EXTRA BIG eyes that Kylie from voodoorabbit.com<\/strong><\/a><\/span> used for her Puppy Pete.\u00a0 I think the 18mm black craft eyes<\/strong> give him a really cute baby – look!<\/span><\/p>\n

And <\/b>different<\/b><\/span> sized cat eyes…<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

When I first designed my Kitty Kate CAT toy pattern<\/span><\/strong><\/a> I used 9mm black craft eyes<\/strong> for her.<\/span><\/p>\n

I liked the look of the Suncatcher Shimmer mint craft eyes<\/strong><\/a><\/span> for Kitty Kate CAT too…. They look smaller because they are not solid black\u00a0 BUT they are the same size.<\/span><\/p>\n

Look how cute Kitty CAT Kate looks with the\u00a0 18mm black craft eyes<\/strong>!!!!<\/span><\/p>\n

I think they make her look like a very sweet SCAREDY CAT!<\/span><\/p>\n

YOU get to choose what EYE size to use!<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

I will have a recommended size for eyes in ALL of my patterns. Take this as a guide but you can use any SIZE you like!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
