* If you missed the other \u2018behind the scenes\u2019 posts So, without being too harsh, let me just say, I’m NOT a sporty kind of person… (Although I was very good at high jump when I was at junior school BUT that’s only because I am exceptionally tall!)<\/p>\n I LOVE a good lie-in and I often work in bed in the mornings on my laptop until lunch time! BUT I\u2019m NOT talking about the days when it\u2019s simply laziness, or wanting to stay snuggled up in bed when it\u2019s cold, that I am talking about here.<\/p>\n Kitty\u2019s no help – he just sleeps his life away! \ud83d\ude42<\/b><\/p>\n Endless hours in a boring job, never-ending washing and housework, even deciding what to wear or what to cook feels like a task!? I think they call it \u201csweating the small stuff?\u201d<\/strong> The small stuff, or should I say UNIMPORTANT stuff, seems to take over and drain my energy and I have \u2018nothing\u2019 left over for excitement or joy. Seriously, that is not a way to live!<\/strong><\/p>\n Looking back I realise…<\/p>\n And I’ve also noticed from experience that when I do make time for myself, the MORE time I seem to have!\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>How is this possible when time itself can\u2019t change\u2026 or can it? LOL \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n When I am having more fun in my life, I feel more motivated and I get MORE done in LESS time because I\u2019m on a buzz! It seems so much easier to get the \u201cboring stuff\u201d done. I seem to have heaps more energy – even the laundry doesn\u2019t seem to take as long because my I\u2019m thinking of what I\u2019m going to sew next while I peg up the washing!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n If you are already feeling pressured with too much on your plate and you\u2019re wishing you had more hours in your day –\u00a0 it\u2019s hard to believe that the solution<\/b> is to do more!<\/p>\n BUT it\u2019s not just doing more of just anything – it\u2019s doing more of the things that \u201cmake your heart SING!\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\n As I\u2019ve got older the time seems to whizz by faster and faster BUT when I am sewing, I forget about all the boring day-to-day chores when I focus on the pleasure I get from \u2018playing with fabric\u2019, cutting, pinning and sewing, and the hours seem to stretch like elastic <\/b>(little sewing joke thrown in there!!!).<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Over the years of building the Funky Friends Factory I’ve realised how important it is, for my well-being, to focus on something fun. Even if it\u2019s for a few minutes a day, it just puts the sparkle back into my life\u2026 and that\u2019s one of the things that I want people to get out of the Sew many Funky Friends Club. <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n I\u2019m going to be hosting 4 sessions of FREE online sewing fun<\/b>, focused around a SOFT TOY SEW-ALONG, and I\u2019ll be giving away my super cute Gertie Gecko Heat Pack pattern<\/b> so you can ALL come and Sew Many Funky Friends<\/b> with me! <\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n We\u2019re going to be sewing soft toys together, step-by-step, and you\u2019ll be able to watch it all <\/b>on the internet (that means you can sew in your pajamas if you want to!) How cool is that! <\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n

There have been times in my life when I felt tired and swamped, like I was on a giant treadmill and I had no desire to do anything – even things I LOVE, like SEWING!<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

Doing more fun stuff makes me more energised –\u00a0 and I get more done in less time\u00a0 – so I have even MORE time for FUN STUFF!<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n
