Happy toy making!!!

Thanks for the video! I’d like to know how to sew tight curves like the Plattie Platypus feet.
That sounds like a fun one to do, Sue, thanks for the suggestion!🥰
I skip the tracing part altogether by using a tape runner loaded with repositional tape. Simply run a couple tape lines onto pattern pieces then position them beneath the template plastic. Easy to see the cut lines. I leave my paper pattern pieces in place for identification. Can always remove the paper when fussy cutting.
I am sorry that, like many small businesses, you have to deal with copyright theft. As a librarian, I am not surprised. The more people talk about this, the more educated the public will be. So many don’t think of the consequences, because they aren’t directly affected by them. I think personal articles like yours should be much more common. Most people don’t want to cheat.
I use the plastic cutting mats from the dolla store. I also use clear packing tape over my sharpie markings because sometimes they do rub off.
These are great ideas. I have overhead projector plastic paper I print my patterns on that cut it out and it works perfectly. Just another idea.
I use flexible cutting boards ( £4 for 2 from Amazon ) and sharpies
Works a dream and then you’ve got reusable templates 😊
your video link is no longer working
Thank Theresa! I fixed it now!😁
Your video for making plastic templates is easy to follow, thank you. I have often used empty vinegar bottles too make templates for quilting, so I think that would work and be easy to source.
Hi Pam, that’s a cool idea too!🤩
If you have a cutting machine you can scan in the pieces and get nice, clean, accurate cuts. Cut 2 and glue them together for thicker pieces to use with rotary cutters.
Pauline,
It breaks my heart that you are still dealing with and will probably ALWAYS deal with scammers who want profit from your creative ideas for free. I wish it were not so. I have had times when people want me to teach them how to sew one of your patterns, but I always tell them they must buy the pattern first and then I can help them sew it along with using your absolutely marvelous tutorial videos. I hope these issues will be fewer and far between. I love all the patterns I have bought, won or been chosen to make as a “trial” for others. Thank you and God bless.
I laminate my patterns as it’s quick and effective
