Voodoo Rabbit Fabric & Toy Eyes giveaway!!!

Sep 9, 2023 | A day in my life, Blog, Competitions & Giveaways

I am up in Brisbane visiting my friend Kylie which means I get to hang out in her amazing fabric shop – Voodoo Rabbit Fabric. Kylie has so many gorgeous things in her shop, it’s VERY hard for me to resist shopping up a storm! Here’s a pic of me trying to decide what fabric too buy for my new Aristotle Axolotl pattern!

Last time I was in the Voodoo Rabbit Fabric shop I bought a lot of Tula Pink Everglow fabrics and Kylie turned some of it into a beautiful By Annie Bag for my birthday!

It’s not WHAT you know
but WHO you know!😄

Voodoo Rabbit Fabrics stocks a H-U-G-E selection of the By Annie Bag Patterns PLUS ALL the bag hardware to make these amazing patterns including Tula Pink webbing used for the handles of this bag, zips, By Annie mesh fabric, and the By Annie Clear Plastic Vinyl used in the pocket.

Want to know where to buy toy eyes?

Voodoo Rabbit sells ALL of the craft eye sizes and colours that I use for my Funky Friends! So you can buy these awesome Craft Eyes from Voodoo Rabbit Fabric website or you can visit them in their really cool store in Brisbane, of course!

Toy-maker Craft Eyes Pack

As Halloween is just around the corner and I’m decorating first time I would love to make the pattern for Patch the patchwork cat from Funky Friends factory in collaboration with Voodoo Rabbit Fabrics range to create a spooky but adorable feline familiar.

I would use the following fabrics:

Storybook Halloween Pumpkin Patch Turquoise By Free Spirit Fabric
    – this fabric features a pumpkin patch on a teal green background with winding vines and a black cat with a silky coat. Pawfect for a halloween inspired feline.

Storybook Halloween Familiar Dance Turquoise By Free Spirit Fabric
This fabric features a deep almond teal/emerald green background with a cat in witches hat, holding hands with a rat and crow conjuring up a spell around a bubbling cauldron. My patchwork cat will be conjuring spells of his own in this meowgical fabric.

Storybook Halloween Witch’s Brew Spice By Free Spirit Fabric
https://voodoorabbit.com.au/storybook-halloween-witchs-brew-spice.html – this fabric features a burnt orange background scattered with black tea pots, cat tea pots, beige tea pots labelled witch’s brew and tea cups featuring golden stars moons. This fabric is visually stunning and reminds me of catnip tea. Perfect for a patchwork cat.

Storybook Halloween Black Cat Damask Black By Free Spirit Fabric
    – this fabric features a black cat dissapearing almost into a deep night sky back fabric. The fabric features the cat in a witches hat with orange steam drifting up from a bubbling black cauldron. The image is outlined by white and splatters of orange giving a chalkboard like effect. This fabric is perfect for any feline looking to cast some mischevious spells (in my cats case mostly for food at midnight).

For patches paw pads and cheeks I would use Cotton Canvas 148cm Wide Teal to bring out all of the beautiful emerald green shades in the voodoo rabbit fabrics.

I would also use Devonstone Collection Solid Nectarine (DV153) to bring out the spooky beautiful pumpkin and burnt orange colours through out the fabrics.
