I was looking for a pattern to make a soft toy Koala that would be suitable as a gift for a friends newborn baby. When searching on the Internet, I was instantly drawn to a very cute picture of Kiki Koala on the Funky Friends website. I ordered her without hesitation and within a couple of days, Kiki was 'born'. The pattern itself was very easy to follow and Pauline's clear instructions and diagrams were also very helpful, despite initially sewing the arms on back to front. (*note to self - no more enjoying a glass of wine whilst sewing) Arms corrected, I am very happy with the end result and know that the recipient will cherish her for many years to come - providing I can pry her away from my husband. Thank you so much for your wonderful design Pauline - you are a very talented lady and have inspired me to take up my love of sewing and creating again. So far I've made a couple of Kiki Koala, an Ellie Elephant, & a Fleur Flamingo but I'm hoping to create more animals for the zoo! I've recently bought Butch & Bella. The patterns are very easy to follow & I find your tutorials very helpful as I'm a visual person.
